Week 1
Ohio State: 112......FCS Southeast: 0
-In what was pretty much a warm up game, the Bucks were firing on all cylinders. In a surprise move, highly touted freshman Terrelle Pryor started at quarterback for the Bucks and quickly showed why he was the #1 rated recruit. He played basically perfect, while Beanie Wells broke the school record for rushing yards and touchdowns...in the 1st half. On defense, James Laurinaitis was all over the field making all kinds of plays, while Malcolm Jenkins locked down the air game.
Stars:
*Beanie Wells
**Terrelle Pryor

Week 3
Ohio State: 34.....USC: 17
-The first real test for the Buckeyes came against the 4th ranked Trojans, and it was a nail-biter. The Trojans scored on the very first play of the game, where they set up in a 0 WR set, the Buckeyes sent the house, and Sanchez sent it to his tight end who miraculously broke 3 tackles then outran corners into the endzone . After that play, the defense tightened up and dominated the game.
On offense, yards came hard for superstar running back Beanie Wells. He did finish with 132 yards and 2 touchdowns, but about 90 of the yards came in the 2nd half. Not panicking, coach Tressel put the game in the hands of our most unproven player: Terrell Pryor. The freshman phenom performed amazingly, going 22/26 for 229 yards, 2 touchdowns and no picks, bringing his season total to 13 td's and 0 picks. Taking care of the ball is priority 1 at this stage of his career, and he appears to have commited to that. The next game for the Bucks is scrub Troy.
Stars:
*Terrelle Pryor
**Brian Robiskie

Week 4
Ohio State: 63.....Troy: 10
-Ohio State was expected to blow out Troy, and they didn't disappoint. Beanie Wells was his normal machine-like self, rushing for 135 yards while adding another 100 receiving, adding up to 3 total touchdowns. Terrelle Pryor finally threw an interception, a throw that was terribly off the mark, but in the end finished with 229 yards and 4 touchdowns, bringing his season total to 16 touchdowns and 1 interception. On defense, Malcolm Jenkins showed why he is regarded as the best corner in football, picking of 3 passes. The real story of the game was on special teams, where wideout Ray Small had a monster game, consisting of 150 kick return yards with 1 touchdown, 125 punt return yards with 1 touchdown, while also adding a 50 yard touchdown reception from Terrelle Pryor, bringing his game total to a whopping 325 yards and 3 touchdowns. Not bad for a 4th string WR.
Stars:
*Ray Small
**Malcolm Jenkins

Week 5
Ohio State: 42.....Minnesota: 21
-In a battle of 2 real players, the score doesn't tell the whole story. Minnesota's spread offense bombarded the Bucks defense, almost scoring at will on long, time consuming drives. The Bucks offense was strong, scoring on all but 2 possesions. The difference in the game were 2 timely picks by Chekwa, a corner, one of which was returned for a touchdown, all but sealing the game. It wasn't pretty, but Terrelle Pryor again had a solid showing, throwing 4 touchdowns and constantly hitting receivers in stride. Beanie Wells had an awful game rushing, amassing only about 35 yards, but did punch in one touchdown along with 124 yards receiving and another td.
Stars:
*Terrelle Pryor
**Michael Chekwa

Week 6
Ohio State: 60.....Wisconsin: 7
-Wisconsin, who came in ranked #10, are a joke. PJ Hill is their only legitimate weapon, but he is jokingly slow. In a battle of top 10, Big Ten teams, Ohio State flexed their muscles and shows who owns that conference. The only touchdown Wisconsin managed to score was when Terrelle Pryor was sacked, fumbled the ball, and their 320 pound DT outran my WR's and RB. (Don't you just LOVE when that happens?) On offense, besides the fumble, Pryor was almost perfect, going 22/27 for 220ish yards and 2 touchdowns, with no int's. Beanie Wells was his normal self, rushing for 134 yards and 4 touchdowns, while catching 8 passes for 80 yards, and also adding a couple of big punt returns for 77 yards. On defense, James Laurinaitis was all over the place with 11 tackles, while Jamario Oneal had a couple of interceptions. On a negative note, #1 receiver Brian Robiskie has been lost for 9 weeks with a dislocated elbow on what looked like a harmless play. No offense to him, but he will not be missed.
Stars:
*Beanie Wells
**Terrelle Pryor
