Week One vs. FCS Southeast

Oklahoma's first week of the season was pretty much a warm - up game. Right off the bat, DeMarco Murray returns a kick-off for a touchdown. After that, there was no looking back for the Sooners as they went on to be them 119 - 6. Along the way, Sam Bradford penciled in over 550 yards passing and 13 td's setting an all-time NCAA record for a passing touchdowns in a game. The defense wasn't too shaby either, they only let up 1 touchdown and it was at the end of the game. Oklahoma's next week game should a better test for the Sooners as they face #22 Cincinnati.

Week two vs. Cincinnati

This was a match-up of two rank and high quality teams, but you no who hads the program after the result of this one. Think it was going a somewhat close game the Sooners came out on fire. The first drive of the game Nic Harris lays the reciever out to force a fumble, then he picks the ball up himself to score a denfensive touchdown. He ended up with 2 fumbles forced and 2 fumble recoveries, which would earn him NCAA defenseive player of the week. After that, like last game, there was no looking back for the Sooners as the score ended up to be 56-7. The offense was a little sluggish a first. The week after Sam Bradford has his record breaking performance, he slowed a bit. He threw 2 int's in the first quarter and ended up with 3 at the end of the game. Fortunatley, he passed for 4 touchdowns to even the scale of his performance. The defense really stood out to me this week. Playing a pretty good offense team, they still only let up touchdown. I'm really impressed with Bradfords year thus far. With a statline of 17 touchdowns and only 3 ints that should make him a contender for the heisman trophy. Next week we got #23 undefeated Washington coming to our house. Let's hope they repeat their performance form last week.

Week three vs. Washington

Lets just say this week, was all about DeMarco Murray. Right off the bat, like week 1, returned a kick off 95 yards for a touchdown. That wouldn't be the only special team touchdown he would get. Later in the game he returned a punt 57 yards for a touchdown. He ended up with a fabulous 422 all-purpose yards and racked up 6 total tds. Now for some talk on the opponent. Washington wasn't very effective very much from either side of the ball, but I have to say, they have a hell of a QB. Jake Locker knows how to run the football for a QB, breaking many tackles on his way to 70 yards rushing on only 10 carries. Overall this game was a blow-out and was unexpected. I'm really proud of what this team has accomplished thus far. Next week will be a bye, so hopefully I can get a committ from one of my recruits.

Week four - bye

This week was exciting for a bye week. A 4 star FS Alan Davis committed to us. This is the Sooners first recruit of the season and hopefully more to come. He is the 8th best FS and ranked #151 overall in the country. He looks like he can be apart of our future which looks bright.

Week five vs. TCU

This week we prepared against a very underrated team in TCU, also known as Texas Christan University. After a bye week the Sooners looked to beat the 3-1 Horn Frogs and that's exactly what they did. The first drive of the game, the Sooners slowly drove down the field to the 4 yard line. The they run a play action pass and Sam Bradford hits Iglesis for a touchdown. That passing touchdown was 1 of his 4 of the day. Sam Bradford ended up only incompleting two passes in the game and ended up with 297 yards and 0 interceptions, but his wonderful performance wasn't the story of the game. The story of the game was DeMarco Murray once again. He tore this defense apart early by the ground game and the recieving game. Near the end of the first half he caught a 64 yard pass for a touchdown to put the Sooners up 28-0. Then, early in the 3rd Quarter, DeMarco Murray breaks off an 85 yard run for a touchdown. He end up with 169 rushing yards and 168 recieving yards while racking up 51 punt returning yards. Also, he added 5 touchdowns to his statline. The Sooner defense was unstoppable like is has been all year. Only letting up 10 points in the game and only giving up 12 PPG for the year. The Sooners haven't been tested all year despite the difficult schedule. Next week we face a scrub team in Baylor.

Week Six vs. Baylor

Facing the worst team in the Big 12, Baylor, this game definitley wrote domination. The Sooners dominated all game and went on to win by 78 points. During the game something unfortunate happened, heisman candiate DeMarco Murray gets nailed by a cornerback and gets injured. he is now out for 11 weeks just in time for the bowl game. However, Jermie Calhoun freshman runningback, replaced Murray very well. He went on to have 6 total tds and 93 rushing yards. He ended up winning ncaa offensive player of the week. Next week is the biggest game of the season thus far as they go on to face the #3 Longhorns.

Week Seven vs. Texas

This is quite possibly the biggest game of the year for college football. #2 Oklahoma vs. #3 Texas. The Red River Rivalry Shutout began witha 3 and out by Texas. then Oklahoma flys right down the field for a passing touchdown by Sam Bradford. You would see that about 5 times from him. he also threw 4 ints to go with those 5 passing tds. Even though Texas created turnovers their offense could never get going and OU's D shut them down all day as they went on to win 41-18. The star of the game had to by Jermie Calhoun as he got over 100 yards in both rushing and recieving and he also add a touchdown on the ground. After a hard fought battle by OU they stay at home and face #9 Kansas next week.

Week eight vs. Kansas

This ended up being the closest game for the Sooners all year. Early in the game Oklahoma forced a punt and drove down the field for a touchdown to take a 7-0. Next drive Kansas moved the ball well and drove to the redzone and ended up with a FG. This game was close at halftime as the Sooners had a 11 point lead. After the break OU strikes first t go up 35-17. Surpriseingly that was the final result and OU offense looked a little shaky as they had a pretty test from the Jayhawks. Next week they go at Kansas St. to try for their 8th win.

Week nine vs. Kansas St.

Coming in with an 8-0 record the Sooners look to remain the best team in the Big 12. Facing Kansas St. this really wasn't any problem as the Sooners defense didn't even let up a point in this game. Sam Bradford and Oklahoma offense was stellar as the Sooners scored 63 points. Sam Bradford looking to race up his heisman chances threw for 7 touchdowns and also had 317 yards passing. the freshman Jermie Calhoun remained great as he had a total of 143 yards and 2 tds. Also, stud TE J. Gresham added 3 touchdowns to his Big 12 leading Td total. After this big win by the Sooners they look to beat Nebraska in Gaylord Memorial.
